In this session, we covered how setting up site modifiers on the design layer with the nearest elevation can make calculating elevations easier, demonstrated resolving site modifier conflicts, showed how to use multiple view panes to make using Vectorworks easier, went over how to save the setup for your multiple view pane preference to your template file, and used Animation Path to create a flyover across our site.

Landmark Special Interest Group September 2019

In this session, we demonstrated what dark mode looks like Vectorworks 2020 (Mac only), presented a workaround for rotating hybrid objects in a 3D view, discussed how to clearly present existing and proposed site data, and showed how the Select Connected Objects, Compose, and Decompose commands help with handling surveyor lines.

Interactive Workshops September 2019 Vertical Transport

There is a range of tools for creating Vertical Transport (stairs, ramps, escalators, and elevators). Not all these tools are available for every version of Vectorworks. For example, no tools are available on the Fundamentals workspace, Landmark workspace has some tools, and the Architect workspace has other stairs. Some tools are available but hidden away.

In this session, we worked out how to cut a profile into the edge of a slab, made a wall that went up at a slope before returning to vertical, showed how to manage stories when one floor is only 2 feet below another, demonstrated how to add profiles onto the ends of rafters and beams, and covered how to copy objects along a curve
