Visibility Tool – I use several layers in a project but I use many many classes. In order to control the classes I could use the navigation palette, but it’s a lot more effective to use the visibility tool.

You can change the settings on the visibility tool to make classes invisible from the objects you click on. The reason I set it this way is that allows me to look at the plan and click on the objects that I want to turn off.
