Modeling the Roof. You can use the outline of the walls to create the roof, but you cannot use the walls themselves to create the roof because you changed the joining of the walls.

If walls are not joined automatically, the Create Roof …  command does not recognize the outside shape of the walls. You have to create a polygon that follows the outside perimeter of the walls.
